FPD Capt. (Ret.) James L. “Jim” Limoli, age 65 of Fairborn, passed away Wednesday April 28, 2010 in the Hospice of Dayton. He was born December 4, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of the late John Kenneth, Sr. and Emma Elizabeth (Pfistor) Limoli. Jim served on the Fairborn Police Department, retiring in 1998 as a Police Captain; and followed with employment in various positions within the police department, retiring in March of this year following 42 years of combined service. He served in the auto ministry at the Salem Church of God; and was also active at the Dayton Vineyard Church, Beavercreek Campus.
A loving husband and father, Jim was a good steward of the Lord; and an avid golfer and marathon runner. He is survived by his wife, Darlene; children, Jennifer Limoli and husband Tarek Seleem of Beavercreek, Todd Bailey and wife Amy of Englewood, Kristyn Roe and husband Adam of Arvada, Colorado, Ashley Sliver of Richmond, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Emily, Katie, Abby, and Tyler Bailey; his twin-brother, John K. Limoli of Fairborn; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday May 2, 2010 from 2:00 until 4:30 P.M. in the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, where a funeral service will be held on Monday May 3, 2010 at 12:00 Noon, Pastor Doug Roe officiating. Interment with full honors will follow in the Dayton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made the Hospice of Dayton in his memory. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home. |
